Urban Pooch DOG BOARDING - LODGING
The Urban Pooch Canine Life Center is Staffed 24/7 365 Days a year!! We offer Cage-Free Boarding where our Team of Pet Care Professional Counselors sleep with your Pooch every night! Every Pooch who comes into our care overnight has constant companionship and supervision from our Staff!!
We provide Pooches with comfy Kuranda Beds for their evening Slumber but sometimes they love to cuddle & sleep with our Counselors in their beds!! Dogs also LOVE to sleep with each other.
We offer various Tiers of Lodging Packages where you can shower your Pooch with additional Love, Story Time, Cuddles and Treats!! See below for details.

SOME IMPORTANT GUIDELINES
Holiday Boarding is an additional $10/night
Feeding - $5 per meal, free if you provide your own food.
IMPORTANT - Please prepare your own food in bags by meal - eg. breakfast, dinner - and label each with your dog's name and breed, for their overnight stay.
If you are unable to bag it yourself, we can do so for $7/day - using our employees - as it is time-consuming.
MEET & GREET WITH YOUR POOCH
Each dog must complete an initial 2-hour Meet & Greet with Urban Pooch. You and your dog will meet with a Professional Pet Care Counselor, who will show you our facility, explain procedures & answer any questions.
After a brief time meet you both, our Counselor will take your Pooch into our Daycare Rooms, introduce them to new friends in the pack, and proceed with a Meet & Greet.
You can stay and watch your pooch through our one-way glass or leave and return at the end of the 2-hour appointment. Upon completion, our Counselor will review with you how your dog enjoyed their visit.
NOTE: After your initial Meet & Greet, we require your Pooch to visit Urban Pooch at least two times for daycare before Boarding. We do this to ensure they are comfortably acclimated and familiar with our fun environment.
Meet & Greet Appointments are available 7 days a week and conducted at 9:15 am, 10:15 am and 11:15 am. Please schedule a Meet & Greet by calling 773.961.8880 or emailing us at Reservations@UrbanPooch.com
Details for Boarding/Lodging Pick-up and Drop-off
- Drop-Off = all day, at least 1 hour before closing
- Monday - Friday Pick-Up by 9 am. If you book an exit bath - the Pick-up time will be detailed to allow for your Pooch to be fresh!
- If you Pick-Up after 9 am, but Before 1pm - charged a Half-Day of Daycare
- If you Pick-up after 1pm - charged for a Full-Day of Daycare
- Saturday & Sunday Pick-Up by 11 am - or charged Half-Day of Daycare
- Boarding Deposit Required during Peak/Holiday times = 1 Day Fee
- Cancellation Policy Holiday/Peak Times = 5 Days Prior to Reservation
- Cancellation Policy - regular times = 24 hours prior to Scheduled Reservation
REQUIREMENTS & HEALTH POLICY
- Dogs must be at least 4-months old and in good health
- Spayed or Neutered by 6-months of age
- Have a City of Chicago dog License (Municipal Code 7-12-140)
- Have a nylon collar with ID securely attached - you can purchase both at our facility
- If your Pooch was adopted, they need to have been in your home for 2-weeks before attending Daycare

Urban Pooch is an open pack setting and doesn't have isolation areas to accommodate any pooches that can't be in the general population due to health concerns. All pooches who attend daycare & boarding must be free of any and all wounds.
- Cuts, Scratches, Fresh abrasions, Lacerations or any open wound
- Hot Spots
- Removed fatty lumps/growths/pimples/warts
- Stitches/sutures or Staples on the body or inside the mouth post-dental
- Any openings that were glued shut
All wounds must be completely healed, closed, and scabbed over to be allowed into daycare/boarding.
All pooches must be in good health and free of any communicable disease. If you notice any of the following symptoms, DO NOT bring your pooch in for daycare/boarding.
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Gaging / Coughing
- Sneezing
Monday through Friday - 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM (No drop-offs or pick-ups between 10 am and 11:45 PM M-F)
Saturday - 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Sunday - 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Late Night Pick-up is available 7 nights/week (with a few exceptions throughout the year).
- LATE NIGHT PICKUP pricing: Monday - Saturday 6 pm - Midnight; Sunday 5 PM - 12 Midnight: Up to 3 hours = $33, over 3 hours = $50
- Arrangements must be made in advance and dog must be dropped off during normal hours of operation
- Prepayment is required for all Late Night Pick-ups
- If pooch does stay overnight, the standard boarding rate will apply
When picking up Late Night, call 312.810.9143 and our Counselors will bring your pooch to you at our back door until Midnight. Please do not knock on the doors or windows, as it disturbs our neighbors.
Overnight Boarding
Overnight guests sleep in an open pack setting accompanied by team members who sleep in the playroom with the pack.
