Puppy Pre-Agility

Our  Puppy Agility Class is designed to build the proper foundation for your puppy to interact with agility equipment. Because puppies’ growth plates are not fully developed, we have created this program to help them safely experience the contact obstacles, floor level jumps, tunnels, floor level donuts, and targeting.

We want to build your puppy’s experience with agility in a positive and fun learning environment, so when your puppy is ready for Beginner Agility they will move to the head of the class! 

Age Requirements: This class is designed for dogs between the ages of 10 weeks and 6 months old.

Policy on Missing Agility classes:

While we understand that things do happen and students may need to miss a class or two during a given session, we do not offer make-up classes for agility. Due to the setup involved and the fluidity of agility training—students are always progressing in their skills no matter their level of experience—it is not possible to offer a class that would make up for what could have been learned during any single missed class. However, we do offer private sessions at the rate of $95 for a 45 minute session.

Beginner Agility

This six-week class is for students who are new to agility. Your dog must be at least 6-months old and be comfortable working around other dogs and people, and also be eager to work for yummy treats or a fun toy!

In Beginner Agility, dogs will learn basic skills that build the foundation for safe and successful agility runs, including:

-Focus on the owner.

-Introduction to jumping.

-Introduction to agility obstacles.

Because the bond between you and your dog is the most important factor in a successful agility team, our Beginner Agility Class not only teaches you how to best communicate with your dog but through one-on-one instruction and fun exercises we can help you create a powerful foundation for a successful relationship with your dog both in and out of the agility ring.

Age Requirements: This class is designed for dogs over 6-months of age.

This 6-week class is for students who have taken agility classes before, and are either training a new dog or returning to agility with a dog in need of a basic training refresher. Dogs must be comfortable working around other dogs and people and also be eager to work for delicious food, treats, or an exciting toy. In this class, dogs will learn skills that form the foundation for safely and successfully doing agility. These skills include:

-Focus on the owner.

-Introduction to Sequencing.

-Introduction to agility obstacles.

-Introduction to Obstacles and Handler Skills.

Age Requirements: This class is designed for dogs over 9-months of age.

Advanced Agility is for approved students who are already sequencing full courses, and have dogs who are fluent on their contact obstacles and 12 weave poles without guide wires. We work through complex sequences, including international handling skills such as backsides, threadles and tough weave entries.

Agility Workshop: Advanced Weaves

Agility Workshop: Advanced WeavesDoes your dog understand the mechanics of the weave poles, but lacks independence? This is the workshop for you! We will work on forward focus through poles, with and without handler motion, as well as the dog’s understanding of tough entries and exits.

This is a workshop for EXPERIENCED agility dogs already weaving 12 poles.

Agility Workshop: Teeter
The teeter is hands down the scariest agility obstacle for our pups. It's loud, moves and can feel very unsafe to our pooches. This workshop is designed to break down the teeter into bite size pieces and build confidence with each step. This workshop is run like a group private session, thus we will take many different approaches to help each dog progress.

Dogs must be at least 1-year-old and a current agility 2, agility 3, advanced or masters agility student w/ UPTFC in order to join this workshop! This is NOT a workshop for dogs in puppy agility and beginner agility.

Private agility sessions are a great way to schedule agility training without having to make a multi-week commitment to a class or workshop. These sessions also allow you to focus on the specific agility skills you want to highlight.

Once you have created and signed into your PunchPass account, you can book a private agility session by looking at the Private Appointment tab on the calendar page. See below for a visual:

This calendar will allow you to book a 45-minute private agility session with one of our agility trainers up to 30 days in advance.

Please note that after you purchase one of these packages you will still need to schedule these sessions individually on PunchPass via the Private Appointments tab.

Please note that all dogs must be up to date on all health records we require for participation in training programs.* Additionally, all students must have a training intake form on file. These documents must be updated in our system no less than 48 hours prior to the start date of appointment. If we do not have all the required health records on file by that time, your reservation in class will be canceled.
